Obviously the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has thrown a massive curve ball at us all. Evidently the World Government shutting down and quarantining almost every nation, to restrict Coronavirus from running rampant, has created financial challenges for businesses. For most business owners and their employees, no work equals no pay.
Keeping us all quarantined indefinitely is not doable, but in the meantime, the Australian Government has decided to hand out money to business owners to keep finances ticking over, until Coronavirus restrictions are lessened, and eventually ended.
What is the JobKeeper Payment?
Follow this link to the Australian Treasury Website to find out more about the JobKeeper Payment.
Essentially Job Keeper payments are $1500 pre tax fortnightly payments made from the Federal Government, designed to keep businesses employing individuals so both the business, and the employees can be sustained until COVID-19 restrictions are eased and/or lifted.
By incentivising employers to keep their staff, employees can keep their jobs and remove the employers financial burdens associated with re-hiring, such as advertising, interviewing and training a new employee, to fill the position once restrictions end. Job Keeper is designed to be a win:win for both parties.
In the linked page, there is information for both employees and employers, so go there to get up to speed about what all the requirements and entitlement eligibility are. That way we can all be on the same page, with the same information.
By keeping employees employed and stopping businesses from going under, being able to reboot the economic system once the Coronavirus restrictions lift will be that much quicker, and helping everyone contributing financially again.
If you previously thought you didn’t have Job Keeper Eligibility, think again!
Over the past months we’ve worked with numerous businesses, helping them get ready to apply for Job Keeper. Although some of our clients knew they were eligible, and were keen to apply, they still had to go through the process of getting everything in place first.
Surprisingly many of those we worked with had assumed they weren’t eligible, and had either come to us to check if there was any chance they were. Or they had come to us to engage our bookkeeping service, thinking they weren’t eligible, and we were able to advise them they may be.
As a result of business owners who are not already our clients coming to us, we put together a package to cover these one-off applications.
Of course you could do this yourself! But the benefits of engaging our highly experienced and competent team to assess eligibility and apply on your behalf, are peace-of mind and certainty based on the following;
- In-depth review and research into complicated cases or where it’s not straightforward such as, but not limited to;
- Change of business structure
- Casual employees
- Workers’ Compensation recipients
- Alternative methods of calculating decline in turnover
- A full detailed report and recommendation based on the outcome of the review which includes substantiation to back up your application, which, if every questioned by the ATO, you can provide them as evidence
- 30 minute phone consultation to discuss the outcome and answer your questions
- Up to 30 additional minutes to speak to the ATO on your behalf, in the event that they require further information
Our JobKeeper Payment Eligibility review and application package is $495.
And as a bonus guarantee, if our review determines you’re ineligible, then we will refund 100% of your fee.
